The first time that the term genital warts hit my consciousness real hard was when actress and TV talk show host Kris Aquino bared the sexual health problems that she contracted when she had a relationship with another actor turned politician, Joey Marquez. It is common knowledge in the showbiz circles, and perhaps the whole country, that both Mr. Marquez and the presidential daughter-sister are both players. So it would not come as a surprise if they have such things.
So what are genital warts really? I came across the site genitalwartssupport.com and I learned that these are abnormal skin growths in the genital or anal areas. Also known as venereal warts, they look like tiny cauliflower florets that are flesh-colored and they specifically grow in the private parts of a person. But they can spread out. And unlike cauliflower, there is nothing healthy about this issue.
If not controlled, genital warts can spread and become big. Itchiness is also an issue. Genital warts treatment are available so that means it is treatable. But make sure that you consult your doctor about which treatment course is best for you. The treatment called Trichloroacetic Acid or TCA is effective but it needs doctor’s supervision. If possible, you have to let a doctor administer it.
But you know what? I think the best treatment for this is prevention. Avoid getting infected with genital warts and other STDs by sticking in a monogamous relationship. And this is for both men and women. Even if you are a guy, you have no excuse to be promiscuous. I am a Christian. And I do believe that God created us to be sexual beings. Nothing wrong with that. But I do not think that God created us to be polygamous sexual beings. And if you are married, love and protect your spouse by being faithful to each other so that you will not suffer from these ailments. My guess is, that is why God only wants us to stick to monogamy. It is for our own good. Go figure.
