Being Together

My husband and I like being together. No, love being together. When we were still dating, we fought like cats and dogs. But now that we are married and expecting our first baby, our relationship has more than improved–it has transformed.

I thank God for His grace in changing us both and into making us “right” for each other. By the way, my husband is resigning from his work at Teletech. He has not decided yet when, but it is really because the call center job is draining him. Whenever he comes home, I could not even talk to him because talking the whole day answering phone calls is just too stressful for a guy like him.

Leaving his job would also mean more time for us. As for finances, we will be doing things together. He will be helping me with my work while I take care of our baby. And I believe that God will provide in other ways. I hope that some business ventures will push through soon so that we will have other sources of income even without his salary.

Anyway, we were just talking how much we love being together. I like having him around, like we spend most of our time in our bedroom. That is where I work. Sometimes, he does his work there, too. We talk a lot. We openly share our feelings with each other. We share the day’s stories. We laugh together, we cry together, we like going out together. But to tell you the truth, we are not very dependent on each other. We each do our own thing. We just like being together.

Each day, I can’t wait for my husband to come home from work and he can’t wait to get home either. For that, I am thankful.
