I read this story about a missionary couple who were killed in their home in Mexico last January and I really felt sad.
The couple, whom I will not name here, were originally from Texas, United States but they moved to Mexico in 1979 in order to serve as missionaries. The husband was preacher and the two of them head a local Baptist Church in Santiago, Mexico.
It just struck me that they were killed. But this is not a rare case. Couples who serve the Lord all over the world are always in danger, especially if they are in the midst of political turmoil and those with different faiths.
But to the end, they remained faithful to the Lord. And I am sure that they are in a much happier place now. And we can just pray that their death will not be in vain.
