Of Life Markers

Wifey started this blog to write about our learning in marriage and life. We both decided on the name of the blog, considering learnings as markers and milestones of our marriage.

Moreover, they are also usually turning points for us towards improvement or betterment in our marriage and life.

That is our story. Meanwhile this gift from Megaworld serves as a marker for the city as well as between the company and our community. This will also be a reminder that one of the city’s turning point towards progress. Plus, it’s a literal welcome to the investors that are still planning to come into the city. Bacolod real estate development is happening in literally every corner.

The Bacolod Welcome Marker is located at the Northill Gateway along the New Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road. When you use this road going to the airport, you will never miss this spot. Stop and take photos and post them online. It’s one way of showcasing our city.

Northill Gateway

The Northill Gateway is the first of the two townships that Megaworld is developing in the city, the second being The Upper East with a new Bacolod hotel.

The 7.2-meter Bacolod welcome marker is the first of its kind in the Philippines. It is inspired by the iconic Las Vegas marker, which Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia often saw during his travels to Nevada.

Bacolod City was represented by our chief executive, Mayor Bing Leonardia and Councilor Cindy Tan-Rojas. Meanwhile, the Megaworld team was headed by Senior AVP Harold Brian Geronimo, who also hails from Bacolod.

The design features colorful masks, which of course, stand for our world-famous MassKara Festival. Every night, the Bacolod welcome marker will be lighted and can be see for several kilometers from afar.

Ceremonial Lighting

Megaworld national executives and Bacolod City attended the ceremonial lighting yesterday. It was a joyous occasion, not only because of the performance of the MassKara dancers, but also because we know that this is just the tip of the many more happy milestones that Megaworld is bringing to the city.

Mayor Bing is really proud of this milestone. And he should very well be because this is his brainchild.

Congratulations Megaworld and Bacolod City!
