Studying to Become a Good Parent

Parenting is not taught in school. It is not a subject that we went through from elementary to graduate school. But if you come to think of it, it should be included in the curriculum, after all, this is a calling that we will have to face as long as we live. We can retire from our jobs, but we can never retire being as parents as long as we live. And probably, if parenting were taught in school, we would probably decrease the incidence of accidental parents.

In my case, I would really want to raise up my child in the manner that she will become an asset to the society, not a liability. I would want her to become a loving person, an encouragement and blessing to many, and eventually, become a responsible homemaker as well.

In so doing, I listen to sermons, listen to other people’s advice, read books and other resources, such as online materials, so that I will get ideas on how to become an effective and loving and good parent to my child.

I would like to be able to bless my children with words, and I found a good article that deals with the topic, and it is entitled “Three things parents should tell children everyday”. Another issue that haunts me is obesity. I had been a fussy eater when I was a child, but eventually, I had weight problems after my parents kept giving appetite stimulant. My baby is now fussy as well, but I don’t want to force her into eating if she doesn’t want to.

There are so many things that concern a parent and I am thankful for online resources such as e-articles.info because I am kept abreast on the latest topics and issues about parenting.
