The Philippines’ premiere sea travel provider, 2GO Travel, gave a Balik Yuhum welcome to the passengers of MV 2GO Masagana. The ship left Manila on Tuesday (October 18) with over six hundred (600) passengers, ahead of the MassKara Festival 2022 highlights.
#BalikYuhum: The Theme for MassKara Festival 2022
Balik Yuhum is the literal translation of Smile Again, a wordplay on the return of the MassKara Festival 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The crew kicked off the MassKara sailcation experience on board MV 2GO Masagana with a performance during the saya program, which also included games. Then, passengers were surprised upon arrival as MassKara dancers performed a welcome salubong dance at the BREDCO Port in Bacolod City on Wednesday morning (October 19).
Balik Yuhum (Smile Again) serves as the 2022 MassKara Festival theme, returning on-ground after a two-year hiatus.
2GO will also be present in the different activities: the Dancing Traffic Enforcers Challenge, a booth at the MassKara Tourism Strip, float participation at the Electric MassKara Parade, and a meet and greet with motoring group Team Graphitee at SM City Bacolod.
“We support the face-to-face comeback of MassKara, and we are happy to be part of the festivities. We invite everyone to join us as we spread cheers during the week-long celebration. Bacolod is an important market for 2GO, and we are proud that MV 2GO Masagana – one of our newest vessels — is serving the City of Smiles,” said Blessie Cruz, 2GO Group Head for Marketing.
“It is very encouraging for us to see passengers excited and full of smiles as they make their way back to Bacolod again for this iconic event,” she added.
