As part of its month-long 1st anniversary celebration and under its “Ikaw Ang Una” campaign, Negros Power spearheaded a meaningful coastal cleanup activity on August 2, 2025, in Purok Tayabas, Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City.
The event reflected the company’s growing commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement—core values of its operations in Negros Occidental.

Negros Power Coastal Cleanup Unites Public and Private Sectors
The event brought together 75 volunteers, from both public and private sectors. Participants included:
- Negros Power employees
- Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
- Community members guided by Bantay Katunggan, the coastal protection group of Talisay City
Together, they collected 15 sacks of coastal waste and segregated them responsibly:
- 5 sacks of non-recyclables (approx. 70 kg)
- 7 sacks of recyclables (approx. 110 kg)
- 3 sacks of broken glass and tiles (approx. 40 kg)
All waste was handled for proper disposal or recycling, ensuring the initiative supported sustainability, not just surface-level cleanup.

Pe emphasized that through the “Ikaw Ang Una” campaign, Negros Power places consumers at the heart of everything—whether it’s service delivery, safety, or environmental protection.
