Negros Power Holy Week Church Inspection Complete

Negros Power Holy Week church inspection efforts are now complete, just in time for one of the most meaningful seasons in the Philippines.

On March 26, 2026, Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power) confirmed the successful completion of electrical safety inspections across all churches within its franchise area.

The company achieved a 100% completion rate under its “Holy Week Church Inspection” initiative. As a result, all cathedrals and parish churches underwent thorough technical evaluation.

This proactive effort comes at a crucial time. Holy Week in the Philippines draws large crowds. Many Filipinos take part in long-standing traditions such as Visita Iglesia, Pabasa, and solemn processions. Others attend Mass to reflect, pray, and reconnect with their faith.

Because of this, churches often operate beyond normal capacity. Electricity demand increases due to lighting, sound systems, and cooling needs.

Negros Power Holy Week Church Inspection Supports Traditions

The Negros Power Holy Week church inspection ensures that these traditions can continue without disruption.

Technical teams checked essential components, including:

  • Service drops
  • Transformers
  • Distribution lines supplying churches

These systems must handle higher electrical loads during Triduum and Easter celebrations.

Inspection reports confirmed that all assessed sites are in good and stable condition. Therefore, parishes can prepare for activities with fewer concerns about power interruptions.

Completing the inspections ahead of schedule also allowed engineers to address possible issues early. This reduces risks during peak church attendance.

According to Mervin Dalian, Assistant Vice President for the Network Development and Operations Group:

“Our priority is to provide a worry-free environment for the faithful as they observe the sacred traditions of Holy Week. By completing 100% of our church inspections ahead of schedule, we have ensured that the infrastructure serving these places of worship is resilient and fully prepared. Any potential vulnerabilities have been addressed, allowing every parish to focus on their liturgical celebrations without concern for technical disruptions.”

In many ways, this kind of preparation stays behind the scenes. Yet it plays a role in keeping moments of prayer and reflection uninterrupted.
