Negros Power Post-Typhoon Tino Update: Restoration Status

As of 4:00 AM on November 17, 2025, the company reports that all major system components are energized:

  • 100% of sub-transmission lines (5/5)
  • 100% of substations (11/11)
  • 100% of feeders (48/48)

In Bacolod City alone, 149,369 customers were affected. Secondary lines have reached 100% restoration, while service-drop and metering connections are 98.83% complete. Most households and businesses in the city are already back on the grid.

Across the entire franchise area, 92.20% of the 244,915 affected customers are now re-energized. The remaining 7.80% still await restoration. These areas suffered the most severe damage to poles, lines, and household electrical facilities.

Why Typhoon Tino Restoration Update Progress Varies in Some Areas

Some communities require longer repairs due to:

  • Downed poles in remote sitios
  • Damaged “Meters on Poles” and service wires
  • Privately owned poles and transformers that require a promissory note before reconnection.
  • Unsafe household electrical facilities that need repairs

These jobs need careful inspection before reconnection to ensure safety. Crews remain deployed in the most affected areas. They are coordinating with property owners, barangays, and contractors to speed up access and repairs. Crews continue to work round-the-clock to restore electricity as fast and as safely as possible.

Community Support Strengthens Typhoon Tino Restoration Update Efforts

Negros Power expressed gratitude to government offices, barangay leaders, volunteers, and partner agencies for their ongoing support in clearing access and repairing facilities. This progress reflects the Bayanihan spirit of communities working together toward recovery.

The majority of households and businesses have regained electricity, and they are resuming their normal routines as essential services continue to recover. Negros Power will continue restoration activities until they safely energize all remaining areas.

Public Advisory: Assistance for Consumers Affected by Typhoon Tino
