Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod celebrates its fifth anniversary with a series of activities focused on its people, community, partners, and sustainability efforts.
The international hotel in the City of Smiles marked five years since opening its doors on July 8, 2021. It celebrated the milestone with activities built around the theme of forging a lasting legacy.
The hotel opened during the pandemic, one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Since then, it has continued to grow through its commitment to its people, the planet, and the community.
Community outreach in Murcia
The Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod 5th anniversary celebration began on July 5 with a community medical mission in Barangay Canlandog, Murcia.
Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, in partnership with Agora Refuge Center Bacolod and Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 6, successfully brought essential healthcare services to Barangay Canlandog, Murcia through adult and pediatric medical consultations, dental care for 30 patients, and free haircuts for over 30 beneficiaries.
The hotel partnered with the Agora Refuge Center (ARC) Bacolod and the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 6. Barangay Captain Celso Belleza also supported the activity.
The initiative provided residents with healthcare services, free medicines, and complimentary haircuts. The team conducted adult and pediatric medical consultations. It also provided dental care for 30 patients, while more than 30 beneficiaries received free haircuts.
The activity reflected the hotel’s continued efforts to give back to the community.
Celebrating the hotel’s Moment Makers
On July 8, the hotel’s official anniversary, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod held a grand birthday bash for its “Moment Makers.”
These team members have played an important role in the hotel’s five-year journey.
SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) executives Melissa Carlos, Vice President for Commercial, and Cathy Nepomuceno, Senior Vice President for Operations, attended the celebration.
Highlighting the collective effort behind the milestone, Ms. Nepomuceno stated:
“A true legacy isn’t built within the walls of a building, but within the hearts of the people who run it. Our five-year success story was written by the collective passion of every Moment Maker here today.”
The celebration also served as a town hall and employee recognition event. The hotel honoured standout team members for their contributions and positive guest feedback.
Legacy Night brings partners together
The anniversary week concluded on July 10 with “Legacy Night.”
The event paid tribute to the hotel’s valued partners, clients, media friends, and content creators. Guests also enjoyed raffle draws featuring concert tickets, Swim & Dine packages, and overnight stays at Park Inn by Radisson and other SM Hotels’ properties.
The hotel’s new General Manager, Ramon Makilan, led a ceremonial toast and expressed appreciation for the community.

The evening also recognized legacy partners for their contributions to sustainability.
The Philippine Air Force received recognition for 19 outreach activities. The Negros Economic Development Foundation (NEDF) earned recognition for converting nearly 150,000 kilos of food waste.
Green Solutions PH also received recognition for its Biodiesel Project. The initiative has donated 3,400 liters of biodiesel derived from the hotel’s used cooking oil to coastal communities.
Continuing the legacy
As Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod enters its next chapter, the hotel remains focused on providing exceptional service, supporting meaningful sustainability efforts, and building a lasting legacy in the City of Smiles.
