Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod has appointed award-winning hotelier Ramon Makilan as its new General Manager. He brings nearly 25 years of hospitality experience. Makilan returns to his home province to lead the hotel and continue its focus on operational excellence, guest service, and business growth.
His appointment also marks a return to the Radisson family, where he previously served as Director of Food & Beverage at Radisson Blu Cebu.
An experienced hospitality leader returns home
Makilan has built a distinguished career in the hospitality industry through his practical leadership approach and strong focus on people. His efforts have consistently helped improve productivity, profitability, and market share across the properties he has managed.
In 2024, CEO Insights Asia recognized him as one of the foremost leaders in the Philippine hospitality industry.
Before joining Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, Makilan served as General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City. There, he led operations for the historic 262-room property.
His experience also includes key leadership roles in food and beverage. He held these positions at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa and Cebu City Marriott Hotel.
Supporting the hotel’s expanding events business
Makilan’s extensive background in food and beverage management comes at an important time for Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod.
His expertise complements the hotel’s growing catering and events business. The hotel has recently expanded its capacity to accommodate large-scale gatherings of up to 4,000 guests.
For Makilan, the appointment is also a meaningful homecoming.
Makilan is a proud Negrense and an alumnus of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos. He started his hospitality career in Negros Occidental. His early professional roots were at the Bacolod Convention Plaza Hotel.
