Negros Occidental, Philippines is where the world-famous Tanduay Rum hails from. So it is but fitting that the capital city of Bacolod hold an event for its honor. This is the reason why the Bacolod City Ordinance No. 898 was authored by Councilor Em Ang. It established the celebration of the Tanduay Rum Festival in the city. And this year, Bacolodnons are welcoming a bigger event that is set to kick off on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Bacolod City Government Center Complex.

Among the highlights of the week-long event in Bacolod City are the cooking contest, food park, barrel art competition, and of course, the flairtending competition for baristas.
Bacolod Mayor Albee Benitez confirms that among the celebrities coming over are Tanduay ambassadors Derek Ramsay and Kylie Versoza. Meanwhile, Pinoy legend Ely Buendia will headline the Music Festival on the last day.
