Healing Through the Negros Power Surgical Mission
In December 2024, Negros Power and WSFP conducted a medical outreach at Valladolid District Hospital. They provided free surgeries to 142 patients, including hernia repairs and gall bladder removals. For many, it was their first time receiving this kind of essential care—something long out of reach due to cost.
Joey Mission, who struggled with an inguinal hernia for years, found relief and dignity through the procedure. “I’m working again, supporting my family, and living without fear,” he shared.
How the Negros Power Surgical Mission Changed Lives
Melanie Vargas, a gall bladder polyp patient, called the opportunity a miracle. “We couldn’t afford surgery. Now I can live normally again,” she said tearfully.
Stories like Joey’s and Melanie’s highlight the heart of the Negros Power surgical mission—restoring health and offering second chances.

Powering Community Healing
This health outreach marks a milestone for Negros Power’s development efforts, launched soon after the company received its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN). It also showcases what’s possible when private enterprise collaborates with public service.
Local government units and volunteers joined forces with skilled surgeons and nurses, turning one mission into a movement of hope.
What’s Next for Health Initiatives
Inspired by the success of this first effort, the team is now preparing for a second round of free surgical services. The location and dates will be announced soon, and more communities are expected to benefit.
Empowering Lives—One Surgery at a Time
This mission proves that true power isn’t only in the lines—it’s in people. By investing in well-being and community health, Negros Power is showing what it truly means to uplift the lives they serve.
