Staff appreciation at Transcom is part of the culture in this multi-national BPO company. This September, everyone got to party for the Tunog Transcom Tayo Y2.
Being a former call center agent myself, I know how stressful the job can be. While I had to contend with bosses, the most difficult part was dealing with clients. I couldn’t separate emotions from the job because I care so much with what they are going through.
Needless to say, I did not last long in the BPO industry. I left at five months because I couldn’t stand the stress. That is why I really understand what employees are going through. And I salute Transcom for the regular fun activities they hold for their staff.
The Year-Round Staff Appreciation at Transcom
Transcom Woldwide Philippines, Inc.Β is a global institution. They excel in being a customer experience specialist. But while they value their corporate clients and individual customers, they also give a high regard to their employees.
At present, Transcom has more than 9,000 employees spread across five sites in the Philippines. They deliver to international brands in various industries.
In order to establish a happy work culture and a work-life balance, Trancsom holds fun activities. These employee events happen all-year round and with different themes.
For September, the five Trancom sites had their party mood on for their annual music fest. Dubbed as Tunog Transcom Tayo, it is now on its second run. And because of its huge success, this might continue for the years to come.
Tunog Transcom Tayo Y2
The Tunog Transcom Tayo Y2 is a mini-concert like event held at a big venue. In Bacolod City, it was held at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod.
Registration started at 6pm then the audience was treated to party music from a couple of local bands. There was the smooth and cool Mojo Nova, followed by rock music from Drumskin.
The party food catering was provided by L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod.
The features of the evening were numbers from featured Manila bands. There were Ebe Dancel, Mayonnaise, and This Band.
Obviously, these bands are well-loved by the people because they danced, sang, and shouted to the performances. The crowd went wild to the music! The good wild, anyway. Transcom Bacolod people are very polite. If I had a Huawei P30 Pro, it would be great to take photos for the party!
Everyone had a really good time. What made it a good time for me was that I was with my wife. Every activity is just better when shared with her.

Kudos, too, to the efforts for staff appreciation at Transcom. I would like to get invited to other events because I would like to see the different activities they have! π
