Arizona Couple Arrested Over Child Abuse Photos on Facebook

This story happened late last year and it was really disturbing. You see, two parents from northern Arizona were arrested after they posted photos of their young children on Facebook, which were taken while the young ones were allegedly being abused. Frankie Almuina, 20, and Kayla Almuina, 19, are now facing two counts of child abuse charges.

After the photos were uploaded, an anonymous Facebook user alerted authorities. In the said photos, the two kids, a 10-month-old infant and a two-year-old toddler, were shown to be bound with duct tape around their wrists and ankles. Their mouths were also taped shut and one of them was found to have been hung upside down on an exercise equipment, as revealed by the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office in Flagstaff.

Since the anonymous caller knew the names of the parents and their address, the cops easily found and arrested the couple at their home in Williams, Arizona.

In the photos, it was reported that the couple indicated they were joking. But the police said that they could clearly see the terror in the children’s faces. While the parents are in custody, the children are now being taken care of by relatives.

Well, some parents just have a weird sense of humor. Too bad.
