Our Christmas Day 2010

Wow, Merry Christmas everyone! The countdown has come and already gone! Whew! That was a whirlwind of activities and we still have some more to go until the New Year.

Usually on Christmas Day, December 25, we go out as a family (my husband’s family) and just take a field trip of some sort for the day. Like we go to a nearby resort and bring food, have our lunch there and then go home. If there is a pool or a beach, then we will take a bath. Otherwise, we just eat. Then for the evening, we will have dinner together at a restaurant in the mall (which are the only ones open at this time).

But yesterday was quite different. We woke up quite late because we stayed up late the night before. After church, we went home and had our pictures taken. Then we greeted each other a Merry Christmas, gave gifts, and went to bed. But it was quite late already. The next day, we woke up late, opened our daughter’s gifts and took photos of her and then we hurried off because I had to be a godmother in a baptism.

After the reception of the christening, we went home and opened my daughter’s other gifts. Then we went off to the Ruins in Talisay City, Negros Occidental in order to accompany our visiting friends there.

Then after that, we rushed home for the evening and joined our family for a dinner at the mall. Gee, we were really harried but happy yesterday.

But what I want to try is a trip to something like caravan holiday parks where you can just park your car and stay for the night. You can prepare your meals outdoors and share there under the moonlit sky and then yeah maybe build a campfire for the night. We can sing songs while someone plays the guitar. Wouldn’t that be lovely?

I wanna try that. Sooner or later. But I hope it will be soon.
