
Negros Electric and Power Corporation (Negros Power) successfully carried out its Oplan Halalan 2025, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted power supply during the recently concluded National and Local Elections held on May 12, 2025.
With Oplan Halalan 2025 activated a day before the elections, Negros Power was in full operational mode to support polling places across its entire franchise area—Bacolod City, Talisay, Silay, Bago, Murcia, and Don Salvador Benedicto.

Reliable Power on Election Day: Negros Power’s Efforts During the 2025 Elections
Throughout election day, power remained stable in all areas covered by Negros Power 2025 elections. Two generator sets were also on standby as part of the company’s emergency preparedness. No major disruptions occurred, allowing voters to cast their ballots without power-related delays.
Swift Response: How Negros Power Addressed Election Day Power Interruptions
Only three polling centers—Pinuwayan Elementary School, Mailum Elementary School, and Bata Elementary School—experienced minor power interruptions. These were resolved within an hour by on-ground teams, ensuring minimal disruption to the voting process.
Full Deployment of Teams
To keep electricity flowing and respond quickly to any issues, Negros Power deployed 85 personnel across key locations. These included:
- 20 roving teams
- 36 response teams
- 9 quick response teams
- 12 line teams
- 8 organic response units
All teams remained on standby until the end of the voting and counting process, covering 159 polling schools, 7 canvassing centers, and 1 COMELEC tech hub.
Close Coordination with COMELEC and Other Agencies
Negros Power’s election command center operated round-the-clock, coordinating with COMELEC, the Department of Energy, LGUs, and local police to provide immediate technical support and maintain open communication across all polling areas.

A Smooth Execution of Oplan Halalan 2025
“Our teams knew what was at stake. Every vote counts, and every voter deserves a smooth, uninterrupted experience. We’re proud to have done our part,” said Engr. Bernard Del Castillo, Chief Operating Officer of Negros Power.
Even now that the elections are over, Negros Power remains on standby to assist in post-election needs, including continued support for canvassing centers and the cleanup of election paraphernalia on utility poles.
