Finding the Perfect Pair of Men’s Shoes
At The Sports Warehouse Big Big Sale here in Bacolod, I found the perfect pair of New Balance leather shoes for me. Thanks primarily to my wife!
The Indecisiveness of Men
I watched this video about a Dad who does not openly say what he wants, but actually already has something in mind. You know why I mentioned it? Because I see a little of my self in that dad. Check our usual conversation below.
Me: Want to watch TV?
Wifey: Sure!
Me: What do you want to watch?
Wifey: How about Supergirl?
Me: The newest episode of The Big Bang Theory is out.
Well, I tend to be indecisive. But when the wife suggests something, I almost always tell her what I want anyway.
The Sports Warehouse Big Big Sale in Bacolod
I went ahead to The Sports Warehouse Big Big Sale event at SMX Convention Center of SM City Bacolod last June 12, 2018. It was Independence Day and the first day of the sale. The wife was still with our eldest daughter at her baking camp.
Naturally, I was having a hard time choosing among a few black Nike running shoes that were available. I was in the process of deciding about the black shoes because I think that they are a more neutral and common color.
But actually, I am not sporty and not really a shoes kind of guy. Most of the time, I would wear a pair of sandals when going out. I feel comfortable if my feet can feel cool. I don’t own a pair of rubber shoes.
The Wife Came to the Rescue
So while browsing among the running shoes, I was about to ask for the sizes I needed when wifey came around to me, bringing two pairs of New Balance leather shoes. They were not really for sports. They were lifestyle shoes and actually looked out of place at The Sports Warehouse.
But I’m glad that she did. In my indecisiveness, I was about to be swayed to buy a pair that does not even suit me, just because I was in The Sports Warehouse and there was a big sale going on. So I am thankful that they included this style, which was perfect for me.
The Perfect New Balance Shoes for Me
While my friends were raving about their pairs of Nike, I actually liked what my wife picked. It’s a pair of New Balance Lifestyle Mode de Vie. It’s made of genuine leather, but the thin kind. It was light and because of the holes, it was actually airy. I liked it because even though it was a pair of closed shoes, they still felt like sandals.
But they are not too informal to wear on different occasions, like going to a party in a hotel or even just watching a movie in the mall.
That find was just too nice–the perfect pair for me. I can wear them everyday and even for travel. The wife surely knows me best. She knows what I like, what I look good in, my style, and what I can wear regularly. It’s just no wonder that God gave her to me.
Buying in Sale Events
I am really glad that I got my new shoes on sale. I hope that when I am ready to get a new pair of shoes again, there will be another big big sale by The Sports Warehouse. And that again, I will find the perfect pair of men’s shoes that is suitable for every day wear.
